The benchmark for design within the water-sports media
Brief
Zephyr were approached to develop a high end, globally appealing brand for an international kiteboarding magazine. This brand would need to translate across a range of print and digital items including a media pack, apparel, calendar, responsive website, online interactive magazines, social media presence and the magazine itself.
Our location, love of the sea and the sport itself made us the perfect creative agency for TheKiteMag.
Solution
We wanted to give TheKiteMag a classic and timeless brand which had an air of quality to reflect the standard of the content within the magazine, this magazine is a true coffee table piece. Combining a serif font with a sans serif font gave the brand the right balance between classic and contemporary.
We have so much fun with the magazine, especially the freedom to be creative with illustrations and hand painted headlines to add a sense of individualism and give readers something a bit different.
