The short answer to that question is… YES!
The sheer scale of the event alone is pretty impressive, sickness with over 500 exhibitors all with new innovative ideas. Zephyr met a lot of the exhibitors and have to say we are very inspired after hearing so many fantastic business stories, where you have come from and where you are heading.
One of the key innovators that stood out to us were Slack Nut – who have been nominated for the FIBO Innovation award (and not just because of what the guys were doing in the photo!) The product is so simple yet so effective as a full body workout tool – it would also look pretty cool in any gym or household and be a great conversation starter!
One thing that became really apparent is that the main objective for the majority of exhibitors we spoke to was to create better brand awareness and brand loyalty. It is good that most of the key players recognise that it is not just the product which does this – it is your brand too. SportsArt, Zumba, TechnoGym, Star-Trac, LifeFitness demonstrated this well with the quality of their brand consistently running through their stands from the carpet, brand messaging on their digital screens to the colour of the ties and sweat bands their teams were wearing, along with the way they spoke to visitors to the stands. A brand is so much more than just a logo.
UKActive also played a key part in our trip to FIBO, and organised a fantastic networking evening along with UK Trade and Investment to get all of us Brits together. Zephyr found this evening very successful with regards to new leads, but even better than that we met really great people who share the same passion as us – sports and fitness.
We’re looking forward to FIBO 2015!
