At Zephyr the new year brings fresh goals and heightened energy to the magic of our own marketing. These first days back in the studio have been spent reviewing our 2013, and chatting through the lessons we’ve learnt from the highs and lows. We’ve also started developing our plan for this year. To be honest, so much happened and we’ve so many ideas, we’re still gassing!
We thought we’d share our tips for making the most of your marketing budget, be it a fiver or five million.
Review – take a look back at last year. What sprinkled the gold dust? Is there anything that drained time, money, energy?
Strategic goals – set your business objectives for this year, visualise that conversation you’d like to have with your team on the last day of 2014, “Hey, guys. can you believe what we’ve achieved …”
Develop a plan – put down on paper the nitty gritty of making your goals happen. Split this up into month by month activity and ensure you have responsibilities and deadlines for each item.
Share your ideas – talk to people, and be open to new ideas for your business. Sometimes that outsider looking in can see something you can’t.
Check in on progress – diarise a meeting with your team or agency for regular catch ups on how you’re getting on.
And don’t forget, if this all seems a bit out of your comfort zone, just give the team at Zephyr a call. Marketing excites us, and we’d love to help.
