Over the weekend we read an interesting article in last month’s Look magazine “The rise of overweight gyms: Are they another form of fat sharing?”

This is the latest craze moving to the UK from the US.  Does this encourage body conscious people or shame them? Launching gyms specifically for people that don’t fit under societies category of “fit” or “healthy” will no doubt have a negative effect, and deter people from attending a gym? Everybody that goes to the gym has a different goal, so surely gyms should be inclusive whatever shape or size.

Fitness is very fashionable right now with social media sites becoming awash with selfies. You don’t just see people flexing their muscles or six packs. You see people’s journey, their individual goals and ambitions. Whatever shape or size!

If you attended an ‘overweight gym’, work hard and lose weight, will you then be kicked out for being too skinny? Let us know your thoughts.
